Grant Wilckens, CEO and founder of G'DAY Group Holdings, is building what is soon to become a billion dollar business in the holiday parks sector. G'DAY Group Holdings is the umbrella company for Discovery Parks, Top Parks and G'DAY Rewards and has the largest network of holiday parks in Australia. Grant traded a career in corporate finance to invest in holiday parks 15 years ago - initially it was a property play but it evolved to bring corporate systems to a sector largely dominated by family-owned businesses, which attracted institutional capital and talent to the industry. Reflecting Grant's energy and continuously questing nature, the business has evolved to become a tech enterprise as much as an accommodation business, firmly focused on providing personalised customer service. The aim is to build the best regional accommodation network in the country. Grant's mission is to make camping cool again - reimagining caravan parks as affordable luxury accommodation with safari tents, lagoon pools, activities and luxurious cabins. The company is investing around $10 million in best-in-class digital technologies, using artificial intelligence to personalise marketing messages and create a seamless booking experience. There's also investment in smart home technologies for holiday parks - appealing to a new generation of holiday makers who expect convenience wherever they go. Grant is passionate about the sector, particularly the opportunities it provides for regional Australians, bringing corporate training and investment to regional communities. He is the chair of the Caravan Industry Association of Australia and recently won the services  sector category of the National EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
