Ann was appointed Managing Director and CEO of NSX Limited in June 2016 after being joining the board in May 2009. Over the two years, Ann has lead the execution of an essential, and very significant restructure of the operations, people and culture, and strategy of the National Stock Exchange of Australia (NSX). As the operator of the second largest listings exchange in a deep, active  and sophisticated equity capital market, NSX is well positioned to build a challenging alternate exchange group in Australia.

Ann has over 20 years’ experience in the financial markets. Her expertise in the development and operation of licenced and regulated financial markets has come from her time as a director and CFO the derivatives exchange Financial & Energy Exchange Limited. Prior to this, Ann held senior positions at Lucsan Capital and KPMG, where she covered the specialisations of Capital Markets Advisory, Risk Management, and Assurance.

About the NSX:

• The National Stock Exchange of Australia was founded in 1937 as the Newcastle Stock Exchange to cater for the thriving regional economy, engaging businesses and investors that were localized round Newcastle.
• Local exchanges were and have been a part of Australia’s economic landscape throughout recent times. It is not that long ago that all of our major capital cities had their own exchanges. The ASX only came into being through the merger of these state-based exchanges in 1987.
• Seeing an opportunity to pursue a much broader opportunity emerging in the national markets, the NSX changed its name to the National Stock Exchange of Australia to become the venture exchange of Australia.
• The NSX is now based in Sydney where it can engage more directly with the market, build their new brand and credibility and attract new people to the team.
