Adam Salzar OAM Chairman of AusTTA (Australian Transformation & Turnaround Association)

View descriptionShare

Adam is a cross-cultural expert who drives fundamental change in companies employing large workforces (i.e. 1,000 to 200,000 staff).  He graduated from ANU with majors in Economics and Accounting where he received the Australian Chartered Accountants University Prize and more recently he received the prestigious ATTA Asian Transformation/Turnaround/Disruption of the Year every year for the past 6 years.  He has worked in China since 1990, where he and Alexandra Hynes set up Salzer Consulting with offices in Shanghai, Beijing and HK, then expanded to Sydney, Singapore and Tokyo.  They moved his consultancy into PwC in 2008 and Adam was PwC’s Managing Director of People and Change for China/HK.  In 2016  Salzer Consulting was re-established again as a separate entity.

Adam has consulted globally with over 150 companies (mainly large multinationals) helping them manage very rapid growth, complex mergers, cross-cultural confrontations, joint ventures and (unfortunately) downsizing.  He is in demand on the international conference circuit delivering papers on cultural issues including ethics and corruption, strategic workforce planning and harmonious restructuring.

He was named as 1 of the Top 20 most influential Australians in Asia by BRW. In 1988, he was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for his work with the disabled.
