In episode eleven of Talking AFLW, presented by Bing Lee, we chat with sister duo Lexi and Cynthia Hamilton - a double act with more than a favourite footy club in common!
18-year-old Cynthia played nine of a possible ten AFLW games in her debut season, that after being the club's third selection in the 2022 AFLW draft (pick 11 overall). Coming into the season, Cynthia was touted as one of the best current NSW/ACT talents and she proved why in her inaugural season. Cynthia capped off a whirlwind debut season to claim the inaugural Sydney Swans AFLW Club Champion award. Cynthia was a consistent performer for the Swans with her standout game in the final round of the season against Geelong which earned her a nomination for the AFLW Rising Star Award.
22-year-old Lexi was described by Scott Gowans as a natural leader, playing all ten games this season. She arrived at the club having played three AFLW games with the Gold Coast Suns and North Melbourne. She tells us why, despite those great experiences, there is no happier place for her than here at the Swans.
Hear from the Hamilton sisters as they talk about living the dream as they work, play and actually live together!
Talking AFLW, presented by Bing Lee, will bring Swans fans up to date on the competition so far, provide some insights into the build of our team, and introduce fans to some of the key figures in the FIRST ever Sydney Swans women’s team.
