Guitar great Joe Bonamassa is on Talkin' Rock. He recently had a fire at his L.A. home which we discuss, joining a legendary band on stage in Vegas and his mother's reaction to it. He's playing the legendary Fox Theater in Detroit this Friday, and talks about some of the other amazing places he's played. His new album "Live at the Sydney Opera House" dropped on October 25th and is doing really well. We talk about other guitarist and the crazy collection he has. He tells me about the band he tried out for as a kid and the struggle to make it. What's his thoughts about blues cruises, recording at Abbey Road and playing with the late Ginger Baker? He answers all those questions, too.
This is a fun conversation to listen to. Joe is a lot funnier than I thought he would be, not having ever met him before, and great to talk with.
