With the Johor state elections underway, questions around identity and representation are once again taking centre stage. While some political parties emphasise the importance of voters choosing leaders who share their ethnic background and understand their community, others argue that good representation should not be limited by race, and that leaders can advocate for everyone regardless of their own identity. So we ask our listeners: Do you believe someone of a different race can look out for your interests?
