they need you,” it’s that simple and that’s why a lot of people in our area go on mission trips to distant countries each summer. service is at the heart of these short-term missions and for a group of tn valley electric lineworkers they brought their knowledge and hard work to a remote village in Guatemala. Sixteen days and the first time this has ever been done by a tn crew. Their leader nick Gipson from grundy county who works for the sequachee valley electric cooperative. What a great story nick for a job well done.

It was a gift from the heart months ago when soddy daisy resident Trudy Harper made a donation to her alma mater tn tech….while she was s student there she befriended a student at the school by the name of gary durham who for years taught students in tech’s industrial technology program despite a lifetime struggle of having a visual impairment. His dedication and passion for teaching were never forgotten by Trudy. This woman has done quite well in her career and in honor of gary and the many lives he changed including hers, a building was named in his honor. For teachers, you never know your impact on others……….good morning gary.
