Well it seems to be a done deal……..the 100 year old historic Medical Arts building on McCallie Avenue will soon succumb to the wrecking ball despite a petition to save it, and turn it into housing. First Presbyterian Church, which owns the property, plans to replace it with a smaller, modern structure. One church member said the estimated cost to renovate the building was around $2 million more than it would cost to demolish it and build a new structure. So what’s next as we welcome Todd morgan from Preserve Chattanooga nonprofit that protects architectural heritage.
