The Hamilton County attorney saga appears to have reached a conclusion. The Commission has finally approved a transition plan. Janie Parks Varnell has received approval to become the new Hamilton County Attorney to replace longtime attorney Rheubin Taylor. This will happen july first. But one commissioner David Sharpe passed on the vote, saying he did'nt like the process that was used in which County Mayor Weston Wamp put forth Attorney Varnell as a candidate. So what's next?
