Gold pays no interest. Is buying it a waste of time, or a smart way to hedge your investments?

Both guests say gold is a must-have in any portfolio. But how much is enough? And beyond what point does it become "over-insurance"?

A report in June this year noted that central banks around the world keep adding to their gold holdings, and a survey found that 45% of central banks expect to increase their gold reserves over the next year.

In this episode of the Lianhe Zaobao podcast Money Talk!, hosts Andrew Zhan and Lianhe Zaobao finance journalist Siow Zhi Hui invite Christopher Wong, OCBC FX strategist and Chief Strategist (Asia) of Indosuez Wealth Management Francis Tan to break down the topic.
