A recent study by the University of the Free State found that several brands of sanitary pads and pantyliners labelled as safe may contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals – substances that can interfere with the body’s hormone system. To help us understand the science and the potential implications, we are joined by Professor Jay Bagratee, obstetrician and gynaecologist. He is a sub-specialist in reproductive medicine and fertility. We also have Dr. Trishka Manilal, a general practitioner passionate about women’s health.
