Chris Wood, the Grammy-nominated bassist and co-founder of The Wood Brothers, has spent a lifetime navigating the deep currents of American roots music — from his early immersion in jazz music  at the New England Conservatory, where he studied under legends like Dave Holland, to co-founding the groundbreaking avant-jazz trio Medeski Martin & Wood, to building something entirely different in music history and deeply personal alongside his older brother Oliver.
