A state judge has pushed the city's appeal of a ruling blocking the "Bring Chicago Home" referendum to a higher court. The referendum that would change the "real estate transfer tax" on home sales more than a million dollars was deemed vague and unconstitutional a week ago by a Cook County judge and would have created a tiered transfer tax on real estate/property sales in Chicago.
