Melbourne/Naarm-based author Danielle Scrimshaw is a historian researching queer women’s narratives in Australian history.  Her debut book 'She And Her Pretty Friend' explores the stories of convicts, a pastoralist, a doctor and the owners of Melbourne’s first female-only gym.  She spoke to Mia Ranalletta about the challenges of writing as a newly ‘out’ queer person.
