Transforming Caregiving: A Profession for All Ages

View descriptionShare
The world is rapidly aging, the ‘age wave’ or ‘silver tsunami’ are no longer catch phrases, but a demographic certainty. Caregiving, while a growth sector, is labor intensive and thought of by many, including caregivers themselves, as a ‘job of last resort’. Technology can’t replace the human connection offered by professional caregivers, whose training and skills ensure the mental, emotional and physical health of our aging population. Professional caregivers have been undervalued for too long. We discuss innovations and actions that elevate professional caregiving, improving the lives of professional caregivers and their recipients. Participants: Helen Adeosun, Jisella Dolan, William Glover, Patrice Martin
