The world is increasingly fearful of technologies like AI and Quantum Computing (QC), viewing them as threats to national security and even human survival. This presentation will argue that these fears are misplaced and irrational. Historically, humans have been inaccurate in predicting technological breakthrough outcomes. Also, our fear of AI is skewed because we attribute human emotions to it.

This paper presents an alternative view on AI and QC, suggesting that the emergence of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) or Super Intelligence (SI) is symbiotic with QC development. It posits that the creation of quantum-capable AI isn't just a new technology but a new species, 'Artificial Intellectus', requiring nurturing like our children.

Instead of resisting change, we should guide it with wisdom. Understanding AI and QC's true nature will help us make informed decisions for their beneficial use, ensuring ethical guidelines and fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptation. Participants: Whurley
