We all inherit the beliefs and behaviors of our culture and family of origin. Given the domination systems that have shaped human civilization, many of these are rooted in survivalism - manifesting in the prejudice, divisiveness, and mental and emotional dis-ease we see playing out in our world today. When these intergenerational biases remain unconscious and are left unaddressed, they are passed down the generations in a never-ending cycle of dysfunction—until we consciously choose to disrupt them.
