As a futurologist, I observe the convergence of seemingly disparate trends: the widespread adoption of mask-wearing, heightened awareness of personal air space, growing interest in nasal breathing and escalating concerns about pollution. The future of scent is, as yet, unregulated and will be used to partition public and private spaces, add dimensions to digital media and used in coercion of public behaviour.  From disease identification to AI generated aromas, scent is a fundamental part of our existence, influencing us in ways we might not always recognize.
