When we think about school, our primary focus is often on teaching practices and curriculum. But the space children spend their days in requires our attention, too. It has a profound impact on student’s motivation, self-concept, ability to focus, sense of belonging, emotions, and learning.  Inspired by Reggio Emilia, Montessori, museum-design, and more, we'll explore research behind design and its influence in a classroom, and investigate the environment as a 'hidden curriculum'.
