In this session, HBCU students & faculty join to discuss their experience designing & participating in Black experience & cultural heritage study abroad programs. The panel seeks to understand how international education experiences can be leveraged as a tool for BIPOC students to gain a deeper understanding of their history & themselves & what considerations schools should take to ensure students are empowered to engage throughout their journey. The panel will explore opportunities to build on existing work to decolonize the study abroad field & progressively diversify the student population.
