What is biohacking, and how can it reverse aging?

Our next guest, Camilla Thompson, reversed her biological age by 10 years through biohacking. Once battling fatigue, brain fog, and joint pain, she restored her health and unlocked the potential for a longer life—proving it's not just for billionaires.

For more, Australia's leading female biohacker, Camilla Thompson, joins.

Our next guest has reversed her biological age by ten years in a process known as biohacking. Might sound like something kind of reserved for tech billionaires with endless budgets, but she says it's surprisingly accessible to everyone.

Yeah, Kamilla Thompson suffered from extreme fatigue, brain fog and joint pain, but by embracing biohacking principles, she claims not only to have restored her health, but unlocked the potential for a longer life as well. And Australia's leading female biohacker, Camilla Thompson joins his life now. Good morning to you, Cumula. The obvious question, what is biohat aha?

Good question. So biohacking is about taking control of our own health by hacking our biology and our environment so that we can live better, longer. But it's also about the prevention of chronic disease and the reversal of chronic disease, which after all the news this morning about the expense of seeing doctors, we need to try and reduce those visits down. So it's also about data. So biohackers are really into data and measuring you know, what's going on in our body, so that we can personalize health. So it's unique to what's going on for us.

I thought the obvious question was, what's so we talk about not just the fact that you feel better, and you know, you've gone from having extreme fatigued due to mold ten years ago to now, you know, looking like the picture of health. You've actually measured the results too.

Haven't you.

Yes, absolutely, And to be honest, reversing my age by ten years was just a byproduct of reversing chronic inflammation. So as we know, inflammation causes massive issues in the body and cellular damage, and I lived in mold for a very long time, so I had something called chronic inflammation response syndrome. So I've reversed that. So my inflammation is now in the ninety nine percentile for low inflammation. But I've also reversed my age by ten years. I've gone actually ten years on this planet.

What is your age and what's your bioway? So I will be.

Forty eight next week and my bioage is thirty eight, So that's yeah, how did you do it? Topically? You know, it's been really simple things. And I think when it comes to health, there's always an extreme and I think we've seen that. And I watched the doco last night with Brian Johnson, who's pushing the boundaries with what's possible with longevity.

But in endless budgets and.

Endless budgets which we don't have, and time. So I've really tried to be more of the everyday by a hacker so that we can do things that we can all do and find time. So this is a great hat.

I run through it.

Yeah, well I'm not going to do it. I've never done it in address or in heels, that's right. I was worried about health and safety. So we are bouncing, so this is NASA have done some fantastic studies on this, and fifteen minutes of bouncing on a rebounder or skipping is equivalent half an hour to forty five minutes in the gym. And it's fun and we need more play in our life, so play is a massive key to longevity.

It's so tall, he's almost hidding.

You could play music and have a dance and do lots. So I've also got red light therapy, so this is fantastic. I do this for ten minutes every day, and again, these devices aren't massively expensive, but this is medical grade and it's TDA approved, and this charges up your internal battery, which we call your mitochondria. So actually it's a bit like plugging a mobile phone in ten minutes a day. It's going to give a lot. Saunas can do that as well.

They can.

It's slightly different types of light. But yes, so this is a different one. So this is a foreign infrared.

And a couple of easy tips. Adding salt to your water, something like a Celtic salt and also honey before you go to bed.

Yes, so I brought you guys some salt take to take home so you can get into your by hacking yourself. So Celtic's salt. Our body is basically made up of water and salt inside. So often when we're in hospital we get put on a saline drip and the reason being is because we hydrate better with water and salt. But the quality of salt's a really important. I recommend Celtic Sea salt. It's got all the minerals and it's an absolute game changer for hydration. Honey, you can have that after dinner, just before bed and it's absolutely brilliant. It basically tricks and mimics the body, and they use the honey as a source of energy rather than using the energy in your body, so it helps you to sleep through the night. Our brain is very active as we sleep and it uses glycogen and our liver, so the honey replaces that glycogen. So it's a bit of a hack and a trick. Ten dollars each will last you three months.

I love your tiptoo about eating before seven pm, which really suits us.

Thank you.

Yeah, that's really easy.

Tips people can do it. You have totally natural there.

Yeah, you must get well.

I'll have to.

Thanks. Thank
