South-east Australia is bracing for a heatwave this weekend, driven by a high-pressure system east of Tasmania drawing warm air to the coast. South Australia saw temperatures up to 15°C above average yesterday, with the heat set to reach Melbourne today and Sydney’s west by Monday.
