As we're getting close to crowning 2025's king of mullets, last year's winner, 7-year-old, Bryce Williamson shows off what it takes.

For more, Bryce and his mother Lee Williamson join.

When you think of Australias, you can think of meat pie, s, thongs and of course mullets. And our next guest has been crowned the King of the mullets. There is seven year old Bryce Williamson. Took out top honors in the Best Mullet competition in twenty twenty four. Now the search is on for this year's winner.

And Bryce and his mother Lee Williamson, join us live this morning from Roxby Downs in South Australia. Good morning to you both. Look you wouldn't remember this Bryce, I'm not sure whether you've seen a photo, but Lee, it's a little bit Nicole Kidman in BMX bandits this mullet. Perhaps you could turn to the side, Bryce, just show us the party at the back.

Oh yeah, that's a mullet. That's a mullet.

Were you were you particularly styling this on Nicole Kidman in bmxpanditsle.

No no, all natural curls really, So tell us about the inspiration and how you managed to achieve this well. Bryce has been growing his mullet since twenty twenty one. He has had some sensory issues, so haircuts were a bit of an issue for him, especially with clippers and scissors and the sound being around his ears. He's gotten a lot better now we're able to go and have just a trim and only one person is allowed to touch his mullet. But yeah, we've it's kind of established from that, just a few sensory issues, and we're very big on your body, your choice. So you know when he was saying, no, I don't want my haircut, we had to respect that fair enough.

It's good respect. And Bryce, I tell you what, You've got a fantastic haircut out of it. What do you love about your mullet? Bryce?

Uh?

I go letting go?

My dad had a gall mullet in me. I mean, I'm late and.

I got and it's very good.

Dad's got a little bit of a mullet better.

So how good is that? So good? Bryce? Isn't it the fact that you can have a better mullet than dad was some sort of idea Lee about the competition and how stiff this competition is.

Look, the steaks are pretty high. You know, it's bragging rights for the whole year. Bryce has really milked it all year last year. Anybody who would listen, he has said, I am the champion of the mullet comp I grew it myself. That's been his favorite. And then yeah, he gets stopped all the time with people complimenting his hairstyle. He's often confused for a girl. But we move past that, don't we. Yeah, the stakes are huge, stakes are very high. We've got some very competitive parents out there.

And I'm sure it's competitive. Yeah, all right, Bryce, before we go, why don't you give us one last shake of your mullet there with both your hands. Give us a good look at it. Duck down, duckdown.

There we go.

Yeah, that's look at that. You can't get enough of it, can you. You should feel so good about yourself, Bryce, what a title that you have had. And best of Lee, Bryce, great to talk to you, Thank you.

My bye, love this comp.
