Queensland to ankle monitor children from age 10

Queensland will lower the minimum age for ankle monitors from 15 to 10 years old under new youth crime laws by Premier David Crisafulli. The legislation removes the requirement for children to consent to wearing the monitoring devices. Queensland's youth detention centres are currently operating at nearly 70% capacity.
