Queensland braces for tropical low and heavy rainfall

View descriptionShare
A tropical low is building off Queensland's north coast with a low chance of developing into a cyclone this week. The Bureau of Meteorology warns that millions of Queenslanders should prepare for several days of widespread heavy rain, thunderstorms and potential flash flooding, with some areas expected to receive more than 90 millimetres. The severe weather is forecast to intensify from Thursday through the weekend, particularly affecting western, northern and southeastern parts of the state.
