View descriptionShare

New South Wales will allow GPs to diagnose and treat ADHD in adults and children from next month, following specialised training. Nearly 600 GPs have expressed interest in the programme, which aims to reduce wait times and healthcare costs. Health Minister Ryan Park confirms GPs will undergo a few-month training schedule to diagnose ADHD and provide treatment plans, expanding beyond their current ability to only fill prescriptions.
