Once a rescue pup, Bowie the Yellow Lab became a viral online sensation after his owner Kevin who works as an Uber rider published their rides on YouTube.
For more, Kevin Ferman and his dog Bowie join.
Right our next guesse has become a viral sensation. Bowie the Yellow Lab has stolen herts and turned a ride sharing side hustle into a full time job.
Well. Once a rescue part with separation anxiety, his owner Kevin, decided to start taking him along to work, and now he's the star of an Uber YouTube channel that has gained millions of views. And Kevin Furman and Bowie join us now, good morning, love me to see you.
You. Oh yeah, Bowie's always straight here by my side. You want to stay. Hey to Australia. Come here, you might join us center second, we'll see.
What I love about your YouTube channel is seeing how people change as soon as they get into your uber and they see a dog there straight away, people's best sides come out.
Really yeah, yeah, it really does. I mean here he is, by the way, this is Bowie.
It's beautiful.
So yeah, no, it's amazing. When people get in the car, they just light up. It makes my day every time.
How did this begin?
Kevin?
So? I got Bowie after my last couple jobs didn't work out. I had been an Uber driver for almost ten years on and off, so when I realized I had to go back to driving. I was like, well, Bowie doesn't really like being left alone, so let's see if I could take him with me and see how it goes. And he's always been so good in the car, so yeah, it worked out. It definitely makes it a lot more fun.
And when did you realize, I mean, Mon loves your videos offic and a few of yours online as well. When did you realize that this was really taking off and you and Bowie were getting a following.
Yeah, you know, it's funny I made Initially, I made eight episodes on YouTube, and the eighth episode I put a ton of work into it. I said, this is the one that's going to go viral. This is going to blow up. It was so good, so funny, and after a couple of weeks it was stuck at about seventy views. And actually gave up on doing it. And I'm like, this was the best video ever. If people don't want to watch this, I don't know what to tell you. And I actually gave up on doing the show. It was a week or two after that that The Daily Mail picked it up and ran a story on it, and then a bunch of other social media accounts started reposting it. It sort of blew up overnight, so of course we jumped right back into it and we've been going NonStop ever since. But yeah, for a second, it seemed like it wasn't going to happen. So very blessed to be where we're at now. It's a lot of fun.
Well, Kevin, you probably can't see this, but in our studio, Mon has brought her poppy.
Come here and she's a golden Kelpie and it just to see everybody change. Is all the guests as they've walked in here today, we are exactly Yes, everyone's long a lot of siblings.
Hey Kevin, thanks for joining us, and as well in the background there, thanks for that of course, congratulations.
I loved it
