Meet Lane Pittman, the Tamworth teen making history supporting the global superstar.
And our global superstar Luke Colmes kicks off his massive Australian stadium tour tomorrow and joining.
Him our next guest, an eighteen year on from tam Worth, has scorned the gig of a lifetime. It's one of the biggest tours of twenty twenty five. American singer Luke Colmbs is set to break records as the first country artist to headline a full stadium tour in Australia. Supporting him local teen Lane Pittman, one of our country's most exciting rising stars. Lane's story is a fairy tale. At fifteen, he auditioned for the Voice, performing a cover of a Luke Combs song name I Believe. The performance went viral, catching the eye of the superstar himself, who invited Lane to join him on the twenty twenty three Arena tour. It went so well. Luke has brought the young Aussie back again to perform in front of hundreds of thousands of fans.
Amn for what's that for a man? Days for a good name?
No it's not and the man is howth Lane Petman joins us now on the couch. Good morning, congratulation, Thank you, how are you guys, we are great.
This tour is massive.
Okay, suncop Stadium, a Core Stadium, Marvel Stadium.
How are you feeling, I.
Am There's so many words to describe I'm feeling. We played Eaton Park over in New Zealand on the weekend as well on this run, which was absolutely wild. You know, to be invited back by Luke again this time. I found out on the weekend that as soon as our name got brought up to come back on the tour, he said to his team that it was sort of a no.
Brainer to bring us back on the run. And I ran straight out to my bend and I was like, they like us, this is great.
I was like, we're in Luke holmbs one of the biggest country singers in the world right now, not just in our region.
We love him here.
When you met him for the first time, I mean, were you starstruck?
Yeah? It was wild.
I meet him at the Brisbane Entertainment Center on our last run. I was getting ready to leave for the night and he was walking out and he said my name, He said, Lane, how are you?
And like in my brain I was like he knows. Mate. Off to a great start.
We had a chat and he's such a lovely guy, so dwn to worth. What you see is what you get. It's the same as all those guys Mitchell Tempani and Jordan Davis who are touring with as well. We're all We're all just there to put on the best show for the fans, which at the end of the days, I think what any artist should aim to do.
Do you get nervous when you're performing, especially for the first time in front of him, even though we've seen you work.
Yeah, I've been really nervous this too. It's been fine.
I've described it to a few people as putting on like a good old pair of boots. They just fit. None of his teams changed. The only thing that's really changed is obviously where we're playing. But I take the approach it's the same office, just a different view.
So we go out there and try and have fun with the time.
We have great mindset. Your latest single, it's called Amen for the Weekend, it's rising up the charts. Country music is absolutely dominating right now. Why why is it so mainstream and so popular?
I think it's the international surgeons.
You see guys like Luke Colbs, Morgan Woland, Zach Bryan even who came out last year. I think it was to do a one off concert. Country has just become cool and you can see you look at Spotify and you know country music. Australia is the second biggest market for country music in the world, which is absolutely wild.
You know, the fans down here, we love it.
I've been talking to a lot of the guys where on too with and they're like, we can't believe it. We come down here and the Aussie williaences know all that song's word for word. We'll play these songs in the States and they don't know.
Amen to that exactly. And it was in the States for so long. So how exciting that we find lu caught up Lane. Congratulation, Thank you, you deserve it. We'll talk soon. I'm sure you can see Lane Pittman in concert supporting Luke Colmes tomorrow and Friday in Brisbane. Then it is Sydney's turn next week, followed by Melbourne and Lane's hit single Amen for the Weekend is out right now.
