Morning everyone. We have some breaking news overseas now, and a barge has crashed into a bridge on the Texas coast, causing part of it to collapse. The Pelican Island Bridge remains standing for now, but damage to the structure has forced the closure of the only roadway to a small island off Galveston. Now, the big issue here is that the barge was carrying one hundred and ten thousand liters of oil that has begun, as you can see there from those pictures, leaking into the water. The US Coast Guard has been called in to help contain the spill. Of course, we all remember what happened with the Baltimore Bridge just a few months ago, so we'll be keeping an eye on this developing story this morning.
