Sunrise is joined by Education Minister Jason Clare and Deputy Opposition Leader Sussan Ley to discuss Richard Marles' Chief of Staff accusing the Deputy Prime Minister of forcing her out of a job after she filed a bullying complaint. In response to the claims the Acting PM has said that he is "deeply sad" at the situation but promises that his actions have always had "Jo's welfare in mind".

Hurricane Milton has torn through Florida, making landfall as a dangerous Category 3 storm before weakening to Category 1 as it moved off the east coast. Wind gusts of up to 200 kilometres an hour were recorded and the death toll currently stands at 11. More than 3 million people are now left without power and 125 homes have reportedly been destroyed.

Bruce Hallman had been a member of the Doncaster Bowls Club for 15 years, but after he passed away in August last year, he left his whole estate to Donvale Bowls Club instead which he had only visited once.
