Bob Engwicht graduated from Bible College in December 1974. The following year he and his wife, Naomi, pioneered a church in Narrabeen, where they reached out to the young people in the local area. Troubled and hurting youth was a driving passion of his life. After eight years in Sydney, Bob and Naomi returned to his birth state of Qld and began working with more than 150 'youth at risk', providing accommodation and a safe place. In 1992, Bob and Naomi pioneered Twin Rivers Church in Eagleby, a low-socio economic area with many youth challenges and a high population of single mums and housing commission homes. Today the Twin Rivers Church sits on 5 acres and is a substantial centre incorporating a church and care ministry that operates a food outlet, caf?, commercial kitchen preparing food for the homeless, traineeships and 'work for the dole' (renamed 'work for your destiny') that aims to train and prepare unemployed with work experience. Ps Bob’s community work has seen him serve the community and business community in many roles, including President of the Beenleigh Chamber of Commerce.
