You'll need: · 500g macaroni · 2 cups grated cheddar cheese · 1 cup mozzarella cheese · 2 tablespoons butter · 2 tablespoons flour · 2 cups milk · 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots and sweetcorn) · 1 teaspoon garlic powder · 1 teaspoon mixed herbs · Salt and black pepper to taste · A handful of breadcrumbs for a crunchy topping (optional) Here's how to make it. Cook the macaroni until just tender and drain. In a saucepan, melt the butter, stir in the flour, then slowly whisk in the milk until you have a smooth, creamy sauce. Season with the garlic powder, mixed herbs, salt and pepper, then stir in most of the cheese until melted.
