Week 4 of the “What’s at Stake” midterm series: Project 2025 vs. Black-led organizations. Mary Pat Hector, CEO of Rise, joins Tamika and Mysonne to break down how Project 2025 and drying-up funding are hitting Black-led organizations. In 2024, Rise had more than 2,000 young people on staff, and now it’s a fraction of that. Before she comes on, Tamika asks why Black celebrities and wealthy donors aren’t putting real money into the ground game when Elon Musk has reportedly put $256 million into the midterms. Mysonne weighs in on a Black pastor’s viral clip about Texas, and the two talk through Nicki Minaj, celebrity campaign rollouts on both sides, and why every election is essential. They also open with a quick fasting and cleanse check-in. Early voting is underway, so tune in, share it, and get your people to the polls.

TMI is the dynamic, new video-taped podcast featuring activists Tamika D. Mallory and Mysonne, the General. Their show takes an uninhibited look at the social and civil rights issues, pop-culture and politics. Together, they underscore the importance of social activism, awareness, knowing your rights and having a voice. They want you to know that being in service to one’s community isn’t old school; it’s real, it’s happening and its needed now more than ever. Their aim is to push our culture forward so that together, we can make the world a better place right now…and for generations to come.
