By all accounts, Teri Jendusa-Nicolai should not be alive. She was picking up her kids from her ex-husband's house when she was ambushed, beaten, battered, and left for dead in a trash can in the garage. Teri was always aware of her ex-husband David Larsen's violent impulses, but she never thought that he would go so far. On the other hand, David didn't know how badly Teri wanted to survive.
