Jim Chalmers is the current Treasurer of Australia, a position he has held since May 23, 2022, under the Albanese government. We spoke about the recent Trump tariffs, the ongoing impacts of the trade war, and his political experience during the 2008 Global Financial Crisis. Jim also shared his personal journey-from his childhood in Logan, QLD, to his school years, and the moment he met the mentor who changed everything. He explained why he believes Labor should remain in office and the values that continue to drive his leadership. Jim also answered some questions we got Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor to ask.
