Luka Doncic's Historic Night, More Dysfunction in Denver & a Dark Horse NFC Champion

View descriptionShare

On today's episode, Jason and Super Producer Rob G (Robert Guerra) get the party started by sharing their thoughts on Luka Doncic's historic stat line against the New York Knicks. Luka is an absolute monster who has been putting up absurd numbers for years and his greatness has almost become under-appreciated at this point. With that in mind, the guys debate whether or not night's like this are meant to be celebrated given that he's the level of player who will only be judged by championships... and most agree this Dallas Mavericks team isn't good enough to win a title. Later, the guys take a few minutes to discuss the Denver Broncos head coaching search. The new ownership plans to take a hands-on approach moving forward and essentially make the general manager obsolete, while simultaneously building around a washed up version of Russell Wilson. Can you really expect any new coach to succeed with that level of disfunction around the team? Finally, J-Mac and Rob G close the show by explaining why Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are a decent long-shot bet to win the NFC. The uncertainty surrounding Jalen Hurts has really opened things up for the rest of the field and none of the remaining favorites (San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings) are without serious questions. Having said that, would it really be all that shocking if the suddenly-streaking Packers make a run to the Super Bowl?
