Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market, a look at the notable movers:
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Intel(INTC) fell this week as technology stocks weakened amid broader market selling. Intel will continue working with Elon Musk on his Terafab chipmaking project despite Musk’s discussions with rival Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited. Intel shares have gained 193.2% over the past 12 months, leaving room for profit-taking following their strong rally.
- Schneider Electric (SU) fell as much as 10% in Paris, the most since January 2025, as an agreement to acquire PTC draws a cautious initial response from analysts. Concerns center on the size and financing of the transaction, as well as uncertainty over AI disruption and whether the deal can strengthen Schneider’s competitive position. Still, analysts see strategic merit in expanding the energy-management and automation company’s industrial software offering. PTC soared on the news.
- Skyworks (SWKS) announced this week the successful completion of its combination with Qorvo. The close of the transaction creates a U.S.-based, global leader in high-performance radio frequency (RF), power management, and analog and mixed-signal semiconductor solutions. Stock this week was mixed.
