Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market, a look at the notable movers:
On this episode of Stock Movers:

- SpaceX (SPCX) shares fell after the company disclosed higher-than-expected spending on its artificial intelligence business. The company's capital expenditures soared to $28.5 billion in the first half of the year, with the vast majority of expenditures steered toward AI. SpaceX generated $3.38 billion in revenue from artificial intelligence during the first six months of the year, less than half what its connectivity business brought in during that span.

- Sandisk (SNDK) stock plunged 47% in July, erasing more than $150 billion in market value, but remains the best performer in the S&P 500 Index this year. The company is expected to report soaring profit and revenue growth, and give a rosy forecast, after tech giants including Amazon.com Inc. and Microsoft Corp. pledged to keep spending heavily on artificial intelligence computing infrastructure. Sandisk's earnings report will test whether strong results are enough to entice investors to buy in again, with Wall Street remaining overwhelmingly bullish on the shares and the average price target implying a gain of about 70% over the next 12 months.

- Eli Lilly (LLY) boosted its 2026 sales guidance after its weight-loss drug franchise performed far better than expected in the second quarter. Sales for the year are forecast to be between $85 billion and $87 billion, with second-quarter adjusted earnings and revenue beating Wall Street estimates. Lilly stock gained 8.6% when markets opened in New York, the largest gain since April. Meanwhile, Novo’s shares fell as much as 6.8% in Copenhagen.
