GoPro Rallies, Fervo Rises, and Medtronic Gains on Boost to Organic Revenue Outlook

- GoPro (GPRO) stock rallies as much as 78% to $1.56, the biggest intraday jump on record, after the action camera maker entered into a definitive merger agreement with privately held optical-photonics company Starman Optical. The deal will to add “US Onshore Optical Transceiver Business, Positioning GoPro to Expand into AI Data Center, Government, Defense and Aerospace Markets,” the company said in a statement.

- Fervo (FRVO) shares rose as much as 15% after it signed a 396 MW power purchase agreement with Google to supply carbon-free energy from its Cape Station enhanced geothermal systems GeoCluster in Utah, expected online in 2028. Analyst Christopher Dendrinos sees the Google deal as positive and sees Fervo now having development visibility for around 1.1 GW of power through 2030.

- Medtronic (MDT) shares rise. The medical device maker boosted its organic revenue forecast for the full year. The firm also posted adjusted profit and revenue for its fiscal first quarter that beat the average analyst estimate. RBC Capital Markets views the overall results as a solid beat & raise to start the year.
