- Japanese refiners have stepped up purchases of Middle Eastern oil after the shutdown of a key Saudi Arabian pipeline heightened concerns over prompt supplies. Eneos recently bought Oman crude for loading as early as October, according to traders familiar with the matter.
- SK Hynix is in talks with Intel about a deal that ​would see it manufacture memory chips in the US for the first time, Reuters reports, citing three unnamed people familiar with the discussions.
- Chinese hardware tech stocks ,including Zhongji Innolight, rally on expectations that Beijing will remain supportive of AI development, and that an interest-rate hike by the Federal Reserve has been largely priced in.
