On this episode of Stock Movers:

- Cleveland Cliffs (CLF) gains as much as 20%, the most intraday since July, after the steel producer posted strong third quarter results helped by tariffs and strong prices. CEO Lourenco Goncalves praised trade blocks that restrict the dumping of steel into markets by foreign producers.

- Sandisk (SNDK) gains. US semiconductor stocks are gaining on Monday with the chip benchmark set to snap its longest losing streak in 18 years. Shares in data center, neocloud and optical firms are also rising amid a broad-based rally in AI-related firms. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index, also known as SOX, had slumped for eight consecutive sessions through Friday, its longest streak since October 2008 and wiping out about $2.3 trillion in market value.

-  Ameriprise Financial (AMP) falls. Ameriprise Financial Inc. is being downgraded by two notches at BofA, to underperform from buy, with the firm citing retention challenges at the company. “Large team departures may now be structural given the attractive economics in RIA ownership while stronger recruiting/retention from the wirehouses has also slowed breakaways to IBDs,” writes analyst Craig Siegenthaler.
