- Alkami Technology (ALKT) shares sink as much as 22%, an intraday record, after the board of the cloud-based digital banking platform unanimously decided to remain an independent, public company, disappointing investors hoping for a sale.

- McDonald’s (MCD) shares fell as much as 5.9% to the lowest intraday level since Oct. 2022, after the company projected a step-up in capital expenditures. In addition, during the investor day presentation, CFO Ian Borden said the chain expects its US business to be “slightly negative” in the third quarter. The company is also looking at launching meals that appeal to consumers on weight-loss drugs and those seeking more protein. The lineup being tested includes a crispy chicken bowl in a bed of lettuce, cheese and tomatoes, topped with ranch. Another option includes a grilled-chicken snack wrap. The company is also exploring a burger bowl, according to a company presentation Wednesday, as well as breakfast options such as egg bites.

- KBHomes (KBH) shares are dropping after the homebuilder lowered the upper end of its housing revenue forecast for the full year. The company also cut its housing gross profit margin for 2026.

Some on Wall Street are skeptical of the deal as they say operating an all-inclusive land-based asset is much different than running a cruise ship, though Jefferies’ David Katz says the acquisition should strengthen RCL’s Caribbean presence. The shares fell 6.1% on Tuesday following a report that Royal Caribbean was close to a deal.
