For the second time in less than two years, former President Donald Trump is facing a Senate impeachment trial, this time for his alleged role in inciting the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol. On Tuesday, House impeachment managers and Trump’s defense attorneys argued over the constitutionality of impeaching someone no longer in office. On today’s episode, we talk to someone who was thinking about that question long before Trump was running for any kind of political office.
