Pitt head football coach Pat Narduzzi joined the show. Pat talked about his team coming into the season. Pat raved about the smarts of Phil Jurkovec and how he acts like a player who has known the system for a few years. He preached the importance of the punt team. Pat really likes where the team’s attitude is right now and said that’s a testament to the culture of the program. Pat thinks some teams in the ACC are afraid to play Clemson and that’s why the conference changed the format a little bit. He talked about some of the travel issues that could arise with teams on opposite sides of the country being in the same conference. He said it comes down to money and greed. Pat isn’t a fan of where the state of college athletics is going and it could mean losing a lot of female sports. Pat said he doesn’t have a rooting interest in the Penn State-West Virginia game. Pat put the ball in the court of James Franklin to have Pitt and Penn State play again. Pat also shared some love for Kenny Pickett and is excited about where his career is headed.
