He said it doesn’t help Kenny Pickett or Rudolph, and it would not take 19 hours to fix the mistake. The guys asked Mike if anything can be done with the new cap space by the TJ Watt contract reconstruction – he said the team could wait until after week one to sign a player with the extra money, but the Steelers aren’t historically a team that chases names during the season. The Ravens have yet to sign Lamar Jackson to a big extension – Mike doesn’t see a deal happening until Jackson hires a real agent. He described the contract as a “major issue” because Jackson reportedly wants a fully guaranteed deal, but thinks if Jackson had an agent it would be easier for something to get done.
