Pitt man and NFL analyst Louis Riddick joined the show. Louis will be on the headset tomorrow for Steelers-Ravens. He talked about where the Steelers are right now with their playoff hopes alive entering the final week. Louis said this team seems locked in for the first time all season. He credited everyone applicable and thinks there are a lot of teams around the league taking notice. Louis thinks the team has responded very well to Mason Rudolph being at QB and that Mike Tomlin made the right decision sticking to the hot hand. Louis isn’t sure what we see from Kenny Pickett next season or what his future really looks like. Louis did question why everything with the offense began to click with Rudolph in there instead of Pickett. Louis thinks everything is on the table at quarterback heading into next season. He said there are so many things that need to be faced by the organization to make the call. Louis talked about some of the Pickett struggles this season, after he was very bullish on what we would see from him in his second season. The guys asked Louis what type of market Rudolph could have in the off-season if this run keeps up – he isn’t sure that a team will take a huge chance on him since it is a small amount of games, but he could see him warranting legitimate backup QB money.
