What do you make of the Terrell Edmunds strategy of saying goodbye to Pittsburgh before he seemingly has another job lined up? What is the order of operations when it comes to the Steelers draft in terms of needs?
Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Ray thinks there is a chance the Steelers will miss Terrell Edmunds because he did a lot of dirty work that opened things up for Minkah Fitzpatrick, but doesn’t think it’s impossible to replace a guy like him. Ray mentioned a few of the top safeties in the draft and what kind of interest the Steelers will have in them. Ray thinks Brian Branch would be heavily considered if he’s at 32nd overall. Ray expects corner to definitely be addressed early. Ray said he would not be surprised at all if the Steelers drafted Lukas Van Ness in the 1st round and thinks he could be their next Cam Heyward type. Ray also brought up the name Bryan Bresee and if he’s an option at 17th overall. Ray doesn’t think Dawand Jones can play left tackle because he’s been on the right side his whole career at Ohio State. Ray does not expect the Steelers to draft a receiver in the first 4 rounds of the draft. He also isn’t sure if inside linebacker will be drafted.
