About Mr. Jim:

Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work. I recorded some stories and hoped that by uploading them to a podcast app, my wife and kids could have easy access to listen. What started as a fix for our family’s bedtime routine interruption has grown into a worldwide audience with hundreds of thousands of listeners. My wife Jocelyn and I have 3 kids and love inspiring others towards greater imagination and curiosity.

Hello, friends, Welcome to S Biology Squad. We are a team of spies who specialize in science. You see, Doctor Stinky Breath in the Purple Ninjas are trying to take over the world through science, and it is up to us to stop them.

Before it is too late. Last time on S Biology Squad we learn that doctor Stinky Breath and the Purple Ninjas have some kind of ice drones that appear to have caused a lightning storm that's gonna last forever unless the S Biology Squad has anything to do with it. Let's see what they figure out. Mister Jim, Jaden and Ava were all at S Biology Squad HQ. Mister Jim is about to call his weatherman friend. Hey, Ava, could you pull up the big screen and we'll do the video call on here so that you guys can and see what the weatherman has to say as well. Why, hello, mister Jim, It is great to see you, said weatherman Wally Jaden And Ava is that you too? Yes, Hey, hey weatherman Wally, how are you doing? Said Ava? Oh, I'm doing fantastic. But what seems to be the problem if if you're calling me, this Biology Squad must be in the middle of our bag.

One.

Hey, Wally, mister Jim here, So, yes, you're right. I'm sure that you're aware of the problem too. You see, over the weekend, really strange thunderstorm has rolled in and we're a little suspicious of its activity. Oh what do you mean suspicious? We have thunderstorms all the time. Hey, Jaden, could you pull up the weather report over the last forty eight hours and show how the storm has grown and centralized just in our area, said miss Jim. Jayden clicked away and pulled up the weather report on the big screen so that they all could see, even weather Man Wally. Oh my, that does seem a little extraordinarily strange. Well, ah, I guess I will start looking because it didn't catch my attention. But you're right, it shouldn't be doing that. All right. Well, this is weather Man Wally signing out. Let's keep in touch, my friends. Goodbye, weather Man Wally shouted Jaden as they all three waved goodbye. Okay, so guys, what is going on with this lightning? Said Ava Jayden. Didn't you do a report on thunderstorms a while ago? Oh yeah, that's right, I remember. Let's see, so clouds make small pieces of ice. You mean hale, said Ava. Yeah, hail, hale. And so when there's a whole bunch of that hail and ice in the clouds, it creates some kind of different different like electrical charges and basically like a battery inside the clouds, and that's what causes the electricity lightning to create those big electrical strikes and booms. Wow, Jaden, that's pretty impressive, said mister Jim. You're right way high up. It's way colder there than it is here. And so clouds they can start gathering pieces of ice or they can form those water particles into ice called hail. And for some reason, those pieces of ice they attract different electrical charges, positive and negative. And when you have both of those positives and negatives in a cloud, it, like Jaden said, it basically creates a battery. Hey, Ava, grab that battery over there. Ava grabbed a double a battery and handed it to mister Jim. Yep, see you right here. See there's a plus sign and a minus sign. So every battery has a positive side which is the plus side, and a negative side which is that minus sign. Oh yeah, that's right, I remember that, said Jaden. Yes, and so for some reason, it seems like the clouds in this storm are generating more electricity, more electrical energy than normal, So that that's the suspicious part and why the storm seems to be only staying right here. It's all very strange, said mister Jim. Ava. Can you grab your drone and fly it up to the clouds and just take a look at the storm from above to see if anything looks strange. Ava ran over and grabbed her drone and the controller, threw it out the window and up it started to fly. Hmm. As it zoomed off to the clouds, they turned on the screen that was connected to the camera on the drone. Ava quickly flew the drone up through the clouds, dodging all the crashing lightning, which whoa, there was a lot of it, and finally she made it up to the top of the clouds. Let's see here, said Ava. I don't see anything that unusual. I'm flying. Ava was flying the drone around on the top of the clouds looking for anything strange. Wait, what is that over there? Said Ava. She zoomed over further south and wait, that's another drone. Jaden, are you messing with me? Did you fly our other drone up there? No, it's not me, said Jaden, and then Ava turned the drone all the way around three hundred and sixty degrees one two, three, four. Holy smokes, mister Jim, get over here, look at this. Mister Jim and Jayden came running to look at the screens, and Ava had just found something terrifying. Look at this, I think those drones. Look at that, they're spitting out ice. They're producing more ice and super charging these clouds. Someone's doing this on purpose, said Jaden. Ava, Jaden, and mister Jim all looked at each other. They knew exactly what this meant. Guys. I think this means that doctor Stinky Breath and the Purple Ninjas are behind this. What in the world are we gonna do now? Ava started to scratch her head and thinking, Jaden, what are you doing over there? You see, Jaden was working really hard on something on a piece of paper. He was doing all kinds of drawings and looked like math calculations and all kinds of crazy things. And Jaden finally picked up his head to answer, Ava, you see, I've been working on this calculation. I was measuring the growth rate of the clouds over the past forty eight hours. And guys, the clouds they're growing at a crazy rate. If they continue to grow like this, they're going to form a supercloud, a cloud that will be able to generate enough of those ice particles that will never be able to turn it off. Wait, what are you talking about, Jaden, said mister Jim. I mean that if this continues for I don't know, another day, maybe maybe even less, will never be able to turn it off. This cloud will then continue to grow until it covers the entire world. Oh no, what has Jaden just discovered? You mean to tell me that these ice drones from Doctor Stinky Breath they're able to power the clouds to a point where it can never be turned off. That means we're running out of time. Oh no, Is Biology Squad gonna be able to save the world from an eternal lightning storm? I don't know, but we'll have to wait and see what happens on the next episode of S Biology Squad. We need more kids just like you on our Biology Squad. If you love science or if you love stopping bad guys, you need to go to S Biologysquad dot com. So that you can join our team. Because there's always a mystery around every corner.
