There's been another shock announcement in the world of netball, with Silver Ferns coach Dame Noeline Taurua being stood down for the upcoming Taini Jamison trophy series that kicks off next weekend against the South African Proteas.

This afternoon the team lists were released for the first round of Super Rugby Pacific.

There is two New Zealand derby's to open the competition this weekend. The Crusaders are heading under the roof to take on the Highlanders on Friday night followed by another massive clash between the Blues and the Chiefs.

Tony Johnson is a rugby commentator and he joined D'Arcy to discuss the squads named for the matches as well as look at some players who may be able to fight their way into the All Blacks as a new head coaching appointment lingers.

Big news out of the Blues today ahead of the start of the Super Rugby Pacific season this week.

Reliable blindside flanker Anton Segner penned an extension with the club that will see him remain in Auckland through to the end of the 2027 Super Rugby season.

Juliene Bray is a former Olympic snowboarder for New Zealand who also was a flag bearer at the 2010 Winter Olympics and she joined D'Arcy to discuss this.
