The Queensland Maroons have been humbled by the New South Wales Blues in the first game of the State of Origin series.

Despite having the home advantage, they lost 18-6.

Sir Graham Lowe: former Maroons coach on the team's loss

The White Ferns have slumped to 1-1 in their T20 series against South Africa as they lost by 18 runs at Seddon Park in Hamilton this evening.

South Africa posted 177/5 and the Ferns got off to a strong start sitting at 63/2 after the powerplay.

However, regular wickets stifled their momentum and they were eventually bowled out for 159 in the final over.

Last season it was an 80/20 split between combustion engine and battery, this year it has been changed to a 50/50 split.

There have been several instances of cars having issues and, in some instances, not being able to get on the track.

David Dicker is the owner of Rodin Motorsport, and he joined D'Arcy to share his thoughts.
